PBU MANUFACTURER ACCREDITATION SCHEME
The Prefabricated Bathroom Unit (PBU) Manufacturer Accreditation Scheme (MAS) was launched on the 6 August 2014.
The scheme was developed jointly by SCI and the Building and Construction Authority (BCA). This scheme is administered by SCI. The PBU MAS is a requirement for non-landed residential sites sold under the Government Land Sales (GLS) Programme.
The scheme aims to provide recognition to PBU manufacturers who have the manufacturing capabilities and committed to maintain the good quality standards in the PBU modules production. The accreditation assessment emphasises on capabilities, processes and specific quality criteria for PBU.
The accreditation is based on the following criteria:
- Quality Management System
- Plant and Design Capabilities
- Human Resource Requirements
- Quality Control In Production
- Storage and Delivery
- Installation and Maintenance

Benefits of the accreditation include:
- Recognised as quality PBU suppliers
- Fulfilled the requirement for non-landed residential sites sold under the Government Land Sales (GLS) Programme
